BHUBANESWAR: The second Odisha Yuva Jagaran Yatra (OYJY), which is an innovative step by the Department of Sports and Youth Services (DSYS) to empower State youth power, kicked off on Tuesday here. DSYS Under Secretary Anant Kishore Jena inaugurated the Yatra showing the flag as a symbol of victory.
It is worth mentioning that the
OYJY- 2012 is supported by the DSYS, Odisha, along with few supporting
partners. The programme has been envisaged to introduce the aspiring youths to
visit and network with organisation of their intact area so that their vision
will be enriched through firsthand experience. During the journey the
participants will lead a camp life where they can mix with people from other
places which would provide them an atmosphere to network and learn.
Almost 60 youths from eight
districts of the State participated in the second Yatra. Among other guests,
TiE president Dulal Pany, Institute
of Health Sciences founder Dr Satya
Mohapatra, SYWB Joint Secretary Chirasmita Sahoo, Dr Dhanadakanta Mishra, Nibedita
Acharya witnessed the inaugural ceremony and inspired the Yuva Yatris with
their valuable words.
