PARLAKHEMUNDI: Andhra Pradesh MLA Juttu Jagannayakulu from Palasa constituency has requested in a letter to Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Sindhe to make surrendered Maoist Azad free from the Jharpada jail in Odisha.
The Andhra MLA in his letter said
Azad was arrested by the Odisha Police when he was returning to his home after
surrendering before the Andhra Pradesh Police. Azad received Rs 10 lakh from
the Andhra Pradesh Government for his rehabilitation, he added.
It may be noted that Azad has
resumed his indefinite fast from Saturday inside the Jharpada jail at Bhubaneswar
demanding release him from jail. Police brought him to the jail in June last
year. Azad was involved in the Nayagarh armory loot and one of the accused in
the murder of Vishva Hindu Parishad leader Swami Laxmananand Saraswati in
