Low Pressure Area over Bay of Bengal, isolated showers expected

BHUBANESWAR: Due to low pressure area over North West Bay of Bengal, isolated showers expected in most parts of Odisha in next 36 hours, informed the local Met Department on Friday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at a few places over Odisha during next 48 hours, Met Department warned.

According to the Met officials, under the influence of upper air cyclonic circulation over North West Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, a low pressure area has formed over

North-west Bay of Bengal, adjoining coastal areas of North-Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal on Friday morning.

The local Met Department alerted the fishermen to not to venture into the sea as strong and gusty surface wind speed reaching 45 kilometer per hour gusting to 55 kilometer per hour would prevail along and off Odisha Coast.
