Pyari Morcha rally gets conditional permission

-- Second Kranti Samabesh in western Odisha in 3 months

BHUBANESWAR: Finally, the newly floated Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) on Sunday got conditional permission to organise rally at the Lower PMG here on October 28. OJM got the venue after so many discussions and talks among the OJM members and the Commissionerate Police regarding the issue.

The OJM has sought police permission to stage its rally of not less than 50,000 people at the Lower PMG Square. Though the OJM made its application in this respect on October 1, the police have replied after 14 days on the proposal.

According to the condition of the police, the OJM would organise its rally in between 11am and 3pm on October 28. The police allowed two routes Ram Mandir Square-Lower PMG and Sishu Bhaban Square-Lower PMG square for the procession of the Morcha. The police also said the OJM could not organise public meeting and stage at the rally place.

OJM chief Pyarimohan Mahapatra said that more than 50,000 people would join in the rally within all the constraints. The State Government is creating many obstacles to foil the rally, but wait and watch, what will be, he added. The rally is named as Kranti Samabesh and the aim of the rally is against the degradation of Biju ideology, said OJM member Amiya Pandab.

On the other hand, Mohapatra in Sambalpur said that their second and third Kranti Samabesh will be held in western Odisha and he has finalised the blueprint of the Samabesh. The OJM would hold rally at Kesinga or Bhawanipatna and undivided Sambalpur or Sundergarh district within three months to strengthen the party from the grassroots level, he added.

“Two Samabeshs will be held in the western Odisha and we will collect workers for the party,” Mahapatra said.

It may be noted Mohapatra had opened the city office of his newly-floated OJM at Saheed Nagar at Plot no-189 opposite the local Post Office here few days back.
