According to sources, the villagers had planned to gherao the DCP office demanding immediate arrest of the culprits in the murder case, but the DCP visited the village before the gherao plan is implemented. He assured the villagers and repeatedly said he would arrest the culprits within the stipulated time.

“We have demanded before the DCP to arrest the culprits within 24 hours. He discussed with us and assured that he would take appropriate action according to our demand,” said a villager PK Mohanty.
