BHUBANESWAR: Khandagiri police arrested two employers for cheating their employees here on Saturday. They were identified as Managing Director Gyanranjan Das and Managing board member Rajat Champati of Regional Centre for Health Research and Education, a voluntary organisation working on AIDS awareness.
According to the Inspector-In-Charge of Khandagiri police station Tapan Kumar Mohanty, the employers of the said organisation had taken security deposit, three-time of the employees’ salary, from their employees while giving employment. But after three months, the MD and managing board members fled away with money.
“We arrested the duo from Khurda-Begunia road and the investigation is going on the fraud case. They have taken that security deposit money from three thousand employees and the fraud is estimated as around 10 crore,” informed IIC Mohanty.
