BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested the master-minds of the cheating-cum-loot incident Mahesh Kumar Sharma and Babuli Behera here for cheating a private company.
Police have recovered Rs 10, 63,000 from the culprits. They have cheated the money from a private company on last Wednesday. While they were taking the money to deposit in the UCO bank at Suryanagar in the city, the money was looted and the duo was the masterminds of the incident.
On the day of the incident, the duo went to the UCO bank by a car to deposit the amount. After few hours, they informed that the money was looted by some robbers on the way. They had also said that four looters were involved in the looting of the cash. The Police had also started investigation into this matter. Later, the Commissionerate Police found out the real masterminds of the cash loot.
The duo had planned it before a month and according to their plan they got little success, but police traced out the truth. Their cunningness became boomerang for them. According to the Commissioner of police, it was not a robbery, but a pre-planned cheating.
