BHUBANESWAR: A lion, Khandi, died at safari feeding chamber in Nandankanan on Tuesday morning. Fifteen year old Khandi was not taking food and water. After post mortem of the lion, the OUAT specialists said the lion was suffering from a lever disease and pneumonia. After the death of the lion Khandi, eight lions and six lionesses were left behind in the zoo. It may note that five tiger cubs were died in the zoo on November 18, which created much hue and cry in the State for the security of the zoo.
