BHUBANESWAR: The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested two inter-state looters from the railway station here on Thursday. They were identified as one Mohamed Ruffique and the second one Bijaya Pradhan.
According to the GRP police, Ruffique, a resident of Kumarpada area of Puri district, was a professional looter involved with many pick-pocketing, snatching, and robbery in the running trains. Seventeen police cases have been lodged in the name of Ruffique in Mumbai as he was doing pick pocketing there at CST and Dadar, informed the police.
While the duo was snatching from a passenger in the running train, GRP caught them and forwarded to the court on Thursday. For further inquiry a team of police officials will go for investigation, informed SP of Bhubaneswar GRP Bhagyadhar Behera.
