3 die, 20 injured in road mishap at Dhauli

BHUBANESWAR: In a severe accident, 3 were killed and 20 injured when the bus slipped from the hilly road at Dhauli here on Tuesday. Most of the boarded passengers were from West Bengal come to visit the peace pagoda at Dhauli in a Puri bus.

 While the bus returning from the Pagoda, incident took place. Due to brake fail of the vehicle, driver lost his control and the bus slipped to the road-side. Around 35 passengers were boarded in the bus along with the bus driver Gajendra Sethy.

All the injured persons were rushed to the Capital Hospital. Out of 20 injured, 11 were referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital for further treatment, informed Deputy Commissioner of Police Nitinjeet Singh. Three were killed on the spot while the condition of a person was very critical, said the police.
