BHUBANESWAR: Protesting Government apathy towards fulfilling of their 11-point charter of demands, Odisha Sabuja Patrika Mahila Sangha (OSPMM) staged indefinite dharna at Lower PMG here from Wednesday.
Hundreds of women workers and green card holders staged demonstration at the Lower PMG flaunting placards bearing slogans of their demands and then the women tried to break the police barricade, but the police brought the situation under control.
According to the members of the Sangha, they had given memorandum to the Chief Minister, the Governor and the Health Minister to take appropriate step for the fulfillment of their demand, but their demands have fallen into the deaf ear of the Government.
“Protesting Government’s apathy towards our demands, we came to the streets and we will continue the dharna till our demand is fulfilled,” said president of the OSPMM Laxmi Devi.
