Another delegate from Kenya Simon Mwangi Muchigiri said that nowhere micro credit is started except Bangladesh and India successfully. Though Bangladesh is pioneer in this field, India is booming in the sector and yielding a very good result for economic viability and sustainability as well as women empowerment in the country, he added.

“India is gone ahead in tackling the issues as we think it is one of super powers and we have to learn from the country as it has started so many economic empowerment programmes for the common people,” said a delegate Tessema Boke Meharu from Ethiopia.

According to Professor of NIRD Dr Bijay Kumar Swain, the delegates want to replicate the models of cooperative society and SHGs from our country and also they have already replicated in their countries.
