PARLAKHEMUNDI: Three persons were injured in a group-clash at Saradapur village under Parlakhemundi block in Gajapati district during the first phase poll on Saturday. Regarding the Sarapanch election matter, it was happened, sources said. They were rushed to the Sub-divisional hospital for treatment. The situation is under control, said the police.
Besides the violence, the polling was peaceful in all 265 booths under the block. Election was held for two Zilla Parishad seats on its first phase, where BJD candidates Anusuya Sabar and Swapnarani Maiti took the lead. After the final count, the result will be out.
