BHUBANESWAR: Anti-corruption
crusader Anna Hazaare would visit the State on November 30 to attend a farmers’
meet in Jagatsinghpur, said the members of Annaji’s Co-ordination Committee of
India Against Corruption (IAC) here on Saturday.
Briefing the mediapersons at a
Press conference here, Central executive body member Akshaya Kumar, who is
in-charge of Odisha and West Bengal, said that Anna
would address the people of the State to participate in their movement against
corruption and to change the present system of the country which failed to deal
with the issues of the common people. The coordination committee would start
its works after organising its IAC members and Anna supporters in the State, he
added.
Kumar said the fight for Jan
Lokpal Bill would continue across the country in an energetic way. “To reform
the present system, people’s movement is very important and we are going to
organise our all the IAC members and Anna supporters to start our nationwide movement,”
said Kumar.
The coordination committee would
hold a meeting on November 26 on the eve of Anna’s visit to begin the
organisational works in the State, IAC activist Bansidhar Patnaik and Seshadev
