BHUBANESWAR:
The Odisha BPUT Chhatra Parisada (OBCP) welcomed its newly elected
office-bearers in a function organised by the Parisada in the city on Sunday.
Attending as the chief guest of the meeting, Former Minister Suresh Routray assured
the students to support them for their long battle to solve the problems of the
Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) students.
Routray said he along with the
students would fight against the BPUT authorities for shifting of main office
from the capital city to Rourkela. OBCP president Abinash
Nayak said the BPUT authorities are not taking appropriate steps to solve their
problems like lack of placement, delay in beginning of the educational year, examination
paper evaluation by inexperienced teachers and delay in publication of result.
The newly elected members called
upon the students to fight against the problems unitedly. Among others, Youth
Congress leader Loknath Maharathy, Sridhar Behera, Prakash Mishra and newly
elected members of the OBCP were present.
