CUTTACK:
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha declared the results of High
School Certificate (HSC) Supplementary results for the year 2012 on Monday. Total
15,163 regular and 3,584 ex-regular students out of 51,480 and 10,894 respectively
cleared the examination.
Out of the total 63,847 students
appeared for the examination this year, 203 students passed in first division,
1,108 in second and 15,010 cleared the examination in third division.
The pass percentage of the year stands
at 31.35, while the regular pass percentage stands at 30.51 and the ex-regular
at 35.43 per cent. Dhenkanal district secured top rank with 53.96 pass
percentage while Nuapada district stands at lowest with 8.24 pass percentage.
On Monday, School and Mass
Education Minister Rabi Narayan Nanda unveiled the Supplementary examination
results book at the BSE board office here. While declaring the result, the
Minister said that they are trying to bring some reform in the high school
education very soon which would strengthen the education process, simplify the
examination procedure and decrease the mental pressure of the students.
