Government to add 100 more city buses

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has decided to buy 100 buses to expand Bhubaneswar-Puri city bus service. These buses would run in between the capital city and Konark, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack and Jatani.  

The State Government would buy these buses on its own resources. These buses will be maintained and run by the Bhubaneswar-Puri Transport Service Limited. It should be noted that the State Government currently running 125 buses under this service between Bhubaneswar, Puri and Cuttack.

Presently, five buses are running in between the capital city and Puri. After the High Court’s order to ply more buses to Cuttack, the State Government was thinking about the purchase of buses to ply in several routes from here and that would be fulfilled very soon after introduction of the buses in the respective routes.
