BHUBANESWAR:
A kidnapped girl of Surya Nagar area has returned home alone after four months.
She was kidnapped by a Bengali people and engaged as domestic help, the girl
said.
The girl, a 7th standard school
student of Surya Nagar area was missing since July 11 this year. She had left
for her tuition classes near Maa Mangala basti and did not return home from
that day. Family members of the girl had alleged that their daughter was being
kidnapped. The police had recovered her tuition bag from Unit-6 outpost area.
According to the girl, she was
kidnapped by a Bengali people Gautam Banerjee. She was working in his home, she
revealed. A few days ago, she escaped from the person’s home and reached the
capital city by train.
The family members of the girl
demanded stringent action against the person who kidnapped their daughter and
engaged in work. State Commission for Potection of Child Rights
(OSCPCR) chairperson Saraswati Hembram assured that they would definitely
look into the matter and take action against the culprit.
