CUTTACK:
The 15th seating of PK Mohanty Commission, who is probing on Pipili gangrape
case, held here on Friday. During the hearing, Advocate Nishikanta Mishra appealed
before the Commission to summon Minister of the Home Affairs of the State and
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to present before the Commission for record of
his statement.
On the other hand, the advocate stated
that there is no need of summoning of MLA Pradeep Maharathy who was not the
Minister of the Home Affairs. The Commission asked opinion of the State
Government regarding the appeal of the advocate.
The next hearing of the
commission would be held on December 8. “The Commission directed the State
Government to keep its opinion before the Commission by December 8 about the
summoning of Chief Minister,” said advocate Nishikanta Mishra.
