DHENKANAL: In an unfortunate
incident, a man killed his wife and surrendered before the police with the body
of his wife in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday. He confessed that he killed his
wife because she had extra marital affair with another guy of his village.
Police court forwarded to the accused after arresting him.
The accused was identified as Upendra
Pradhan of Anlaberini village under Tumusinga police station limit in the
district. He got married Salilu of Kantajharia village one and a half year ago.
They didn’t have any children. Salilu was going to her father’s house without
informing Upendra and living there for many days, which created suspicion in
his mind that she might have any affair with any person of her father’s
village.
After few days, Salilu returned
Upendra’s house and they had argument over the issue. Suspecting his wife’s
character, Upendra killed her with the help of a sharp weapon on Monday night. After
killing her, he came with the body in a cycle and surrendered before the police
on Tuesday.
