Bird-hit BBSR-bound AI flight makes emergency landing

--Passengers safely reach temple city in other flight

Biju Patnaik Airport
BHUBANESWAR: A Bhubaneswar-bound Air India flight made an emergency landing after 20-25 minutes taking off from the New Delhi airport due to bird strike on the front side of the plane on Sunday. Following the landing of the bird-hit plane, the airport authorities sent all the passengers in another Air India flight which landed safely here.

The Bhubaneswar-bound AI 877 flight took off from New Delhi airport on Sunday with 114 passengers. After few minutes, the crew members of the flight knew that some portions of the front part of the plane damaged due to bird strike, so they immediately planned to make an emergency landing at the Delhi airport.

The plane safely landed at the airport and all the passengers were boarded in another flight that brought the passengers to here without any problem. “We were frightened when we heard that the plane would make an emergency landing. But thank god we reach safely here,” said a passenger of that flight.
