BHUBANESWAR:
Odisha Sahitya Akademi on Tuesday announced the names of the winners in
different categories for the year 2009 and 2010. Total 12 persons were
nominated in nine different categories for the year 2009, while nine persons
were nominated for the year 2010.
For the year 2009, Krupasagar
Sahoo was nominated for the category of novel, Deba Prasad Dash for short
story, Prabashini Mahakud Tiwari for poetry, three writers- Sanghamitra Mishra,
Simant Mohanty and Bijay Mohanty for drama, Umesh Patri for essay, Sakuntala
BaliarSingh for translation, two writers- Premananda Mohapatra and Bijay Ketan
Patnaik for biography, Manaswini Dash for children literature and Sachi Mohanty
for lyrics.
For the year 2010, Mamatamayee
Choudhury was nominated for novel, Aravind Ray for short story, Souvagyabanta
Moharana for poetry, Krutibash Nayak for drama, Dhaneswar Sahu for essay,
Khirod Parida for translation, Gourahari Dalai for lyrics and Subhendu Mohan
Srichandan Singh for children literature.
The writers would be felicitated
by the academy in a special function, said the academy in a Press release.
