BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate
Police busted a sex racket at Hi-tech city under Airfield police station in the
capital and arrested six persons in connection with the case after conducting a
raid.
The arrested persons were staying
at the slum areas in the city. Mohammad Salman was the mastermind of the racket.
He was operating the gang, said the police. Police interrogated two women
allegedly involved in the flesh trade in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, the Airfield
police team raided a building at P4 block of High-tech plaza and arrested the
persons who were operating a sex racket in the area.
“When we got specific information
that a sex racket was operating from a building at High-tech city for past few
months, our team conducted a raid on Tuesday and busted the racket,” said Airfield
Inspector-in-charge Girija Sankar Chakrabarty.
