CM visits Gajapati, inaugurates development projects



PARLAKHEMUNDI: During a one-day official visit to Gajapati district, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated few development projects and laid foundation stones of an office building in the district on Tuesday.

Patnaik first inaugurated Ginger juice production unit of ‘Gram Tarang’ branch at Centurion University here. Gram Tarang and university president Prof Muktikant Mishra and Prof DN Rao were present during the inauguration of the unit. Patnaik then inaugurated 100 bedded SC and ST girls’ hostel of Tagore Memorial High School at Upalada under Gosani block in the district.

Patnaik also inaugurated the new office of Assistant Commercial Tax Commissioner here, new polytechnic building and new fire station at Bedhaguda and laid foundation stone of Regional Transport Office here. Later, he attended a public meeting at the MKCG Autonomous College here.

Among others, Agriculture Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, Brahmapur MP Sidhant Mohapatra, Parlakhemundi MLA K Narayan Rao, district collector Basudev Bahinipati, Zilla Parishad chairman P Lata, District president of BJD Basant Das and party workers attended the programmes.
