--Police record victim’s
statement in hospital
RAYAGADA: Health condition of the
gang-rape victim, who suffered burn injuries after attempting suicide, is
critical and struggling for life in the Care
Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
“Due to 70 per cent burn injury,
the condition is bit critical. It is very premature to predict anything at
present,” said Rayagada Chief District Medical Officer KVS Choudhury after meeting
the victim at the hospital.
An investigation team of the
police went the hospital and recorded the statement of the victim. The police
are suspecting that more persons involved in the gang-rape case.
Praying for speedy recovery of
the victim, students, citizen committees and members of press club conducted a
candle march in Rayagada town on Thursday evening.
