PURI: A tourist from neighbouring
State Chattishgarh died when he fell off boat at the Chilika
Lake near Satapada of Puri district
on Wednesday morning. The locals of fishermen community are searching the body
from the water.
The tourist was identified as
Sarat Gupta, who visited Satapada with his family to see Chilika
Lake, hired a boat and entered the
lake. After few minutes, the tourist fell off the boat losing his body balance.
The family member could not save Gupta who disappeared in the water.
The locals reached the spot after
getting information from the boat, but failed to save the tourist. They even
could not recover the body of the tourist, said sources.
