BJD now passing through a political cloud: Utkal Bharat

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha is dimension less in the hand of Naveen Patnaik as the Biju Janata Dal led Government is passing through a political cloud, said Utkal Bharat president Kharvela Swain while addressing the district-level workers in the party’s State-level convention here on Monday.

Swain said the group rivalry within the BJD party is worsening day by day and to recover the party from the group rivalry is a Herculean task for the party president. The agricultural production came on a standstill. Major industries are not showing interest to invest in Odisha due to failure of the Government to take appropriate decisions at the right time, he added.

Swain said the State Government is begging before the Central Government for fund which is not only shame for the people of the State but also it shows the inability of the BJD Government. Even the opposition parties like Congress and BJP are patronising the BJD party instead of opposing the ruling party, he alleged.

They are the alternative of the BJD Government in the State and they can bring good governance if the people of the State support, Swain said in the meeting. Among others, Utkal Bharat Vice-president Loknath Sarangi, general secretary Bratati Chaterjee, Yuva Utkal Bharat president Abhisek Joshi and members of the party were present.
