Customer allegedly beaten up by builder in city


BHUBANESWAR: A person, who wanted to buy a plot and also deposited first installment money for that plot from a city-based builder, was allegedly beaten up by the hired goons of the builder in the city on Thursday. On the other hand, the builder denied the allegation of beating the customer by hired goons.

One Khirod Rout and his brother had asked a plot from a builder of a city-based real estate business farm Ganapati Eastcon and deposited first installment money for the said plot. The real estate farm asked for the second installment money after few months and argument took place from this matter. Rout brothers asked the builder to return their money, but the builder didn’t listen them.

This time, Rout had gone to the Ganapati Eastcon office to ask the total money given by him to the builder and director of the real estate farm Chinmay Das. According to Rout, when he went to the office to ask the money, some employees of the Real estate farm and some other peoples brutally attacked him. He was rushed to a private hospital.

Following the incident, Rout and other customers lodged complaints against the builder Chinmay Das. The builder had offered Rs 20,000 bank cheque to conciliate the matter. On the other hand, the builder denied the allegation made by Rout and his friends. The Commissionerate Police are investigating into the matter.
