OJEE medical counselling begins


BHUBANESWAR: After so much dilly-dallying by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) board, finally the counselling for medical courses started from Tuesday. This year, 2,852 medical aspirants have been declared eligible to take part in the counseling for 650 MBBS seats and 150 BDS seats.

According to OJEE officials, the students can do the choice filling of medical colleges and registration online sitting at home. On July 19, the students have to visit the four nodal centres including BJB College, CET, CIPET and IIIT in Bhubaneswar opened for final choice locking and deposit of the required fee.

In 2012-13 academic session, 150 more MBBS seats are available in the State for the medical aspirants. The new addition includes 100 MBBS in Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital at Rourkela and 50 seats in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bhubaneswar.
