Choice locking process of medical counselling begins


BHUBANESWAR: Choice locking process of medical counselling conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) board has started from Thursday. The medical aspirants have visited the four nodal centres including BJB College, CET, CIPET and IIIT in Bhubaneswar opened for final choice locking and deposit of the required fee.

After so much dilly-dallying by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) board, finally the counselling for medical courses started from Tuesday. This year, 2,852 medical aspirants have been declared eligible to take part in the counseling for 650 MBBS seats and 150 BDS seats.

In 2012-13 academic session, 150 more MBBS seats are available in the State for the medical aspirants. The new addition includes 100 MBBS in Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital at Rourkela and 50 seats in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bhubaneswar.
