Rescued Gajapati kids reading in Convent joined Ashram schools

PARLAKHEMUNDI: Following the rescue of 36 kids from Tamilnadu, the Gajapati district administration has enrolled their names in different Ashram schools of the district who were reading in the Convent schools of Coimbatore and Tirunelveli in Tamilnadu. The family members of the kids were not happy to know about the joining of their kids in Ashram schools, sources said.
According to the parents, they don’t have any facilities and financial support to provide quality education and good career for their children. For which reason, they had sent their children to Tamilnadu keeping eye on their better future, but god knows what happened they were brought back by the district officials, the parents added requesting to omit their identity.
The parents said that they could not get education and a better life because they were poor and they didn’t have the resource and support that time. Six decades passed still that condition is continuing and they failed to give quality education to their children for which reason they had requested the persons who take the children to the children homes in Tamilnadu where they provide free education with boarding and lodging from class 1 to graduation, they added.
The parents also said when they migrate to Tamilnadu as contract labourer, they see the Convents there which are well equipped and having better facilities. After bringing back their children, the district administration rehabilitated the kids in Ashram schools. “God knows, what will be the future of our children,” lamented the parents.
