Investors lodge complaint against city Real Estate firm

--One company official arrested

BHUBANESWAR: Some people of Banapur and nearby areas on Monday lodged complaints at the Saheednagar police station against city-based Real Estate firm Suvsatya Group of Companies for cheating them without paying their maturity money in time and misbehaving them when they asked about their money. The Commissionerate Police arrested one company official in connection with case.

An investor Tribhubanraj Samantray in his FIR copy said Chief Managing Director of the company Hemant Kumar Samantray and his wife Bijayalaxmi Das had come to his house at Nachuni to persuade him for the investment in the company. The CMD had shown him some documents and photos with some renowned persons of the State by promising that they are not fraud companies, the investor added.

The complainant said the company had created a clear image in front of the investors and asked them for investment. Investor Samantray had invested more than Rs 15 lakh by believing the words of the company CMD. But when the investors went to the company office to inquiry about their maturity money, the company director didn’t respond to their questions and scolded them in filthy languages, the investor said in his FIR.

The investors said the company had promised them to give double amount on their investment in 29 months and deliver the maturity money in time, but they could not get that. At the last moment, the investors knew that the company cheated them, said an investor of Banapur.

About 15 investors from Banapur, Balugaon, Nachuni, Gambharimunda and other areas came in a group and lodged complaints before the police against the CMD of the company for misbehaving them when they asked their maturity money in time. The investors complained that the CMD threatened them to use goons against them. The company has cheated them more than Rs 60 lakh, alleged the investors.
