BHUBANESWAR: The members of Dalit
Mahila Mahamanch along with village women gherao Mahila police station here
demanding stringent action against a person who is blackmailing their village
girl after sending her lewd MMS to their friends. They also alleged that the police
are not taking action against the culprit roaming around their village.
The village women from Saradeipur
area under Lingaraj police station limit in the city gheraoed the Mahila police
station and demanded action against the accused. Around eleven days already
passed, but the police are yet to take action against the culprit who not only
cheated the girl but also committed a serious crime by sending the girl’s lewd
MMS to their friends, said a member of the women body.
According to sources, Bulu
Maharana who has created the lewd MMS after having physical relation with the
girl belongs to Kumadiha area near the girl’s area. Bulu is a carpenter and he
was coming to Saradeipur regularly in search of work. Meanwhile, Bulu came in
contact with the girl and gradually relationship between them became strong,
the sources said.
When the girl denied keeping any
relation with him, Bulu sent the secret lewd mobile video through MMS.
Following the incident, the parents on September 10 lodged a complaint at the
Lingaraj police station and then in the Mahila police station.
The women folk and other members
of the women body left the police station after the police officials assured
them to take stringent action against the culprits. They are investigating into
the matter, said the police.
