BHUBANESWAR:
The mastermind, a contract killer, of the Unit-6 firing case was arrested and
court forwarded by the Commissionerate Police on Thursday. The contract killer
was nabbed by the Belaguntha police at Belaguntha in Ganjam district, the
police said.
He was identified as Chittaranjan
Dalei, the sharp shooter, of Belaguntha area. From the day of the firing, the
police was searching for the mastermind and finally they arrested him. Dalei
had taken contract to kill Rakesh Nayak of the Unit-6 area, police revealed.
It may be noted that one month
back, Nayak was killed by some miscreants in the night near Banadurga temple
of Unit-6 area in the city. After
two days, the Capital police had arrested Bilu Nayak and Nilu Nayak in
connection with the case.
