Six mousers, 9 round bullets seized from city man


BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday arrested a person from the city for illegal trading of mousers and bullets. Six mousers and nine round bullets were seized from the person. He was identified as Sangram Kishore Nath of Bhimatangi under Airfield police station limit in city.

According to the police, Nath was arrested for illegal liquor business and awarded with ten years jail. After two years jail, he had come in parole and didn’t follow the rule for which warrant was issued in his name. He was involved in illegal firearm business by importing guns from Jharkhand and West Bengal to the city.

Nath was selling the guns here after importing from the Odisha borders. He was purchasing the guns for Rs 10,000 and selling it in the range of Rs 40,000 tyo 50,000. He was supplying the guns to builders, contractors and gangsters in the city, the police said.

“We have been tracking the person after getting information about his involvement in anti-social activities. At last we arrested him,” said DCP Nitinjeet Singh.
